Dear Tatura Resident,
As your local Liberal Party Candidate for the seat of Shepparton I am writing to remind you of an important election commitment I have secured for the Tatura community.
I was delighted to recently host Shadow Minister for Transport David Davis in Tatura to announce that an elected Liberal Government would provide $650,000 to install flashing lights, boom barriers and a protected pedestrian crossing at the Dhurringile Road rail crossing.
I have been talking to people in Tatura since March regarding their concerns about the lack of adequate signalling at the Dhurringile Road rail crossing and have witnessed firsthand the cars and trucks travelling straight through the crossing ignoring the stop sign.
It is a major accident waiting to happen and I am delighted I have been able to secure this commitment for you.
In addition, I know the Tatura community is very passionate about their local volunteer CFA brigade. Daniel Andrews and Labor have raged a war on the volunteers of the CFA in an attempt to pass control of the CFA to the Unions through their flawed Fire Services Legislation.
Sadly Suzanna Sheed, (as she has done on nearly every issue,) chose to support Daniel Andrews and Labor by voting for the Bill which was narrowly defeated by the Liberal Nationals Coalition in the State upper house. And shamefully Ms Sheed has refused to rule out once again supporting Daniel Andrews and Labor to pass this legislation should the Andrew’s Government be re-elected. A copy of a recent article from the Weekly Times that spells out Suzanna Sheed’s position is printed on the back of this letter.
I can assure you that I will always support the volunteers in CFA brigades who do so much to keep our community safe.
To ensure I am able to deliver these and the Liberal’s many other commitments for you I need your vote on November 24th. Please remember to vote 1 Cheryl Hammer.
